Gameplay was inspired by cult classics such as Call of Duty Nazi Zombies, Doom: Eternal and Wolfenstein.
To start a dungeon, players simply need to enter it while roaming the open world to start a party.
Each dungeon is a chapter of the overarching story of the Road to Genesis game and will feature a minimum of 6 unique procedurally-generated fighting, puzzle and platforming rooms.
Each fighter has their style, so the game will feature multiple unique fighting styles including melee, short range, mid range and long range to allow players to express themselves on the battlefield.
To progress deeper down the dungeon, players can upgrade their weapons to boost their specs by spending tokens and resources won in-game.
Multiple sub-game modes will be available in free-to-play and Play & Earn to give more layers of entertainment and competitiveness to the experience:
The first time a player enters a dungeon, they will be met with cutscenes detailing the story at the start, between certain rooms and at the end of the dungeon. Campaign mode dungeons will feature the same room structure every time.
Players can replay a dungeon for an infinite amount of times with each one being a unique experience thanks to procedurally generated rooms that shuffle at the start of each game. In addition players will have free-to-play and Play & Earn objectives to challenge themselves and earn rewards.
Teaming up doubles the fun and the destruction and gives a new dimension to each game. Players will find co-op modes hide unique challenges that will require team work and coordination to surmount.
Players will have the opportunity to face off and wager on their skills in competitive modes. One dungeon will be generated for all competitors with the same enemy spawn locations. Whoever makes it out first wins.
To exploit the most out of the endless opportunities available from the game's build and deliver new and exciting content to players regularly, Special Events will bring a twist to the regular gameplay with different iterations arriving with unique mechanics and dedicated prize pools.
Example:
Blast Bonanza: Only explosive weapons and enemies explode on death
Super Blast: +300% enemies spawn, +200% faster enemies, - 75% enemy health.
Swamp Session: Enemies are apes and bullets are bananaz.
New dungeons featuring new rooms, stories, environments, mobs and weapons will be added throughout the years.
