Overview
In the post-industrial era, a new global elite arose and wielded powerful tools of control to impose their narrative and deprive the masses of their natural rights. To escape this order, two dissident factions stole space capsules and settled in the new world, where they developed civilisations on three planets with different ideologies. The OXYA substance was crucial to life and matter, but it started to run scarce, leading to conflict between factions.
Planets
The Oxya Origin universe is composed of three planets with distinct environments and populations that have greatly evolved over thousands of years.
Kryo
Placed the furthest from the Oxyan sun, snow storms can last for months and three moons shine during the freezing nights in this ice-covered world. Singular trees with fur-covered trunks are the only perceivable object in the endless ice plains. Penguin-like creatures with blades instead of feet skate in waves of thousands, an evolution probably sparked by the planet’s high gravity. Gigantic lakes and oceans of liquid water still exist under the indestructible surface. There, life thrives and vegetation proliferates, serving as food for the various animals. In the planet’s depths, some of the most durable natural crystals can be found. If you look closely from the surface, you can see them shining through the floor. They resemble the quartz of the ancient Earth but have more useful properties. The planet’s main attraction is the beautiful aurora borealis that sheds light upon the darkest nights and is widely regarded as the most beautiful sight of the galaxy.
Naya
The largest planet is also its most hospitable. The suns take turns shining upon this spiritual land in which the rocks and the plants communicate via the mysterious Nayara force. Natural resources are plentiful and life blossoms in this dry and arid desert. Initially covered entirely by water, the oceans withdrew into a crack on the planet’s surface. Today, that canyon is the only place where vegetation can be found on Naya as it houses a rich forest that goes deep into the planet’s core. The thick layer of sand that covers the planet’s surface is inhabited by Nayara and reacts to the activity of life around it, making walking easier and sleeping more comfortable. The dream-like landscape is defined by sand dunes that change places within the blink of an eye making orientation in the desert nearly impossible. The animal’s tears evaporate into the atmosphere and rain back down once every decade to give them moisture to stock.
Luxion
This mineral-rich planet is covered by mountainous and rocky spaces alternating with magmatic residue and volcanic rubble. The land’s multiple volcanoes are connected by intersecting lava rivers that flow across thousands of miles. Firefish swim in the burning pools of magma but Luxion’s most prominent species are rock-worms and featherless birds that learned to duck flying eruption craters. The airborne rocks crash down and explode letting out a toxic gas that makes certain areas inaccessible to organic life forms. Neither sun nor moon can be seen through the thick smog that pollutes the planet’s atmosphere and warms up its climate. Volcanic eruptions shake the planet to its core and the fallout often reaches nearby moons and space vessels.
