Oxya Origin: Road to Genesis (RtG) aims to deliver an intense and immersive gameplay experience, grounded in high-stakes tactical decisions, cooperation, and risk-reward dynamics. At its core, the gameplay is designed to serve two fundamental philosophies:
Game Theory: Encouraging strategic thinking and decision-making, where player actions and choices impact each other’s outcomes.
Risk-Reward Calculation: Challenging players to weigh potential gains against escalating dangers, rewarding skillful play and calculated risks.
The gameplay revolves around the Rundown Loop, with each session consisting of:
Infiltration: Players enter a hostile environment to complete objectives, gather resources, and engage enemies.
Combat: Dynamic encounters against the Kapra species and their variations, requiring teamwork and strategy.
Extraction: Secure resources by returning to the extraction point, balancing risk and reward. Players can choose to extract early or extend the mission, increasing rewards but amplifying risks.
The beta phase development will bring significant enhancements to deepen the RtG experience, including new mechanics, enemies, and customization options.
Combat and Cooperation
Success relies on players coordinating roles like assault or support. These roles are determined by gear selection and preferred skills rather than fixed classes. New enemy types, refined animations, and melee combat will add layers of depth to encounters.
Stealth and Strategy
Missions will include stealth mechanics, allowing players to avoid unnecessary confrontations and conserve valuable resources. Environmental hazards and traps will heighten the need for careful planning and tactical execution.
Weapons and Gear
Players will have access to a growing variety of weapons, armor, and attachments, enabling them to tailor their playstyle. Crafting and upgrades will provide opportunities for growth, but all gameplay-impacting items will remain accessible for free-to-play players to ensure fairness.
Rare and Cosmetic Collectibles
Advanced blueprints and rare items will need to be crafted within Oxya Origin: HeadQuarters, offering tradable digital collectibles crafted outside the core gameplay loop and useable, in time, in other Oxya Origin games.
Progression
Players earn resources and a much larger variety of blueprints to unlock new abilities, gear, and strategies. Some rare and cosmetic ones will need to be crafted in Oxya Origin: HeadQuarters, as limited and tradable digital collectibles.
Procedural Generation has already been worked on a lot and each rundown is unique, with randomized layouts, objectives, and challenges. These aspects will be improved further, with features like modifiers, environmental effects and enemy mutators that keep gameplay fresh and unpredictable.
